From childhood Wendy has always loved animals and grew up with cats, dogs, and horses. With her family she moved from Southern California to Sisters seventeen years ago to be closer to all things wild. After a family camping trip in Yellowstone National Park in 2011 when she saw not only her first wolf but a whole pack, her fascination and awe were ignited for this iconic species of our vanishing wilderness. Since then she has advocated for the return and protection of wolves, attending ODFW hearings in Oregon and eventually joining the Wolf Welcome Committee. Wendy has been a professional designer and California licensed architect for over 40 years, including having worked and taught design in Europe. She knows there are multiple solutions to any problem, but the best come not only from learning through other experience, but a willingness to listen to others.
